Bike to Build 2020

The tour will begin in the parking lot of the Scotland Memorial Hospital Rehabilitation Center at 500 Lauchwood Drive, Laurinburg, NC. [Map]

All events start “Rain or Shine”.

On site Registration and Package Pickup starts at 7:30 AM.

8:40am – 103k / 51k Cycle Ride begins
9:00am – 34k / 17k Ride begins
9:30am – 4.5k Kids Run / Ride begins

All events end at 3:30 PM.

Youth under 16 must be accompanied by an adult! All riders are encouraged to carry ID, emergency contact information, and a cell phone. Go to Road ID to order your ID bracelet, dog tag, etc. Habitat will get a percentage of the sale.

Helmets are required for all participants!

Registration Fees:

4.5 mile Kids Ride: $15.00
(as of April 1) $20
    (adults ride along): $10

Cycle Individual: $20.00
(as of April 1) $25

On April 1, 2020, registration fees will increase.

Each registered participant receives a free T-Shirt, breakfast, and lunch. All participants who finish their course will receive a Participation Medal. SAG service is provided.

Teams: Bike as a team of four or more people! Ask family, church groups, businesses, biking/walking clubs, friends, etc. to join you. Enter your team into on the registration form.

Bike Routes: There are four mapped routes for riders of different skill levels. Each route is clearly marked as:
103K (64 mi.) – Yellow Route
51K (32 mi.) – Green Route
34K (21 mi.) – Orange Route
17K (10.5 mi.) – Blue Route


Each participant is encouraged to raise $100 or more. Ask friends, coworkers, or even famliy members to donate for each mile you ride, run or walk. Get the Rider Pledge Sheet at Our goal is to raise money to build a 50th new Habitat Home. The cost to build the average home is about $85,000. If you or your business would like to be a sponsor and help make BIKE TO BUILD a success, go to the for sponsorship levels. To be included on this year’s T-shirt and promotional materials, sponsors must turn in funds by May 11.

Supervised Children Activities will be available. Parents must sign a liability waiver. Adult supervision provided. Please indicate participation on your registration form.

While you are in town, be sure to stop in and visit the Habitat ReStore located at 12340 McColl Rd. (Hwy 401 South), Laurinburg. Merchandise includes gently used furniture, appliances, and surplus building supplies. All store proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity® of Scotland County.
